Ms Delfa Kaabi
Paediatric Dietician
Delfa is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) & Feeding Therapist who specialises in paediatric feeding and nutrition. She has a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Bachelor degree in Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science).
Delfa has over 8 years experience working with children and their families within both hospital and community settings. Delfa is passionate about empowering families to overcome mealtime challenges and support their child’s nutritional health. As a feeding Therapist, Delfa is committed to helping children learn to eat at a pace that respects their readiness to progress through a variety of food types and textures.
Delfa has a keen interest and specialised knowledge in restrictive eating behaviours, including Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARID), Autistic children and their relationship with food as well as gastrointestinal disorders, childhood growth concerns and feeding difficulties related to disabilities.
To complement her interest and expertise in child and family nutrition, Delfa has completed a Certificate of Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetic from the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, as well as training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding and Responsive Feeding therapy approach for ARFID.
