Tyla Stroebel

Psychologist

Tyla is a driven and passionate Psychologist and Behaviour Specialist with over 15 years’ experience. Originally from South Africa, she enjoys working with clients from all different cultures and prides herself on being able to build incredible rapport with the families she assists. She holds degrees in counselling, criminology and psychology and completed her Masters degree in Behaviour, before qualifying as a professional in the field of psychology.
 
Tyla is also an experienced play therapist, has extensive knowledge in the field of trauma and psychometric assessments and is skilled in the diagnosis and intervention of pervasive developmental disorders.
 
Tyla holds further certifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Positive Behavioural Support. Tyla is currently a Senior Clinician and the Clinical Manager of the Mind & Behaviour Clinic in Bankstown, with whom Kids Health Space work holistically and collaboratively.
 
Tyla has experience supervising Masters and Honours psychology students, designing and running training and workshops and lecturing for the Australian College of Applied Psychology.
 
In her spare time, Tyla drinks coffee spends time at the beach and attempts to keep her two young daughters out of trouble.

Isabela

Psychologist

Isabela is an AHPRA registered Provisional Psychologist and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society. She combines her warm and caring nature with her research background to promote mental wellness using a variety of evidence-based theories.

Isabela is originally from a little town in the north of Brazil, where she engaged in community work in rural and indigenous communities. After moving to Australia, she furthered her studies at Macquarie University and graduated with Honours at Bond University.

With her growing interest in mental health, Isabela volunteered in aged care and currently works in clinical settings. She is interested in children’s suffered trauma, emotional regulation, behaviour management, anxiety and mood disorders, aiming to develop treatment plans using a holistic and humanistic perspective. Isabella is also trained to perform assessments for Autism spectrum Disorder, ADHD, ODD, psychological IQ test, specific learning disorder etc

Isabela has an integrative approach and applies diverse therapeutic methods, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, schema therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

Isabela is also interested in art, music and play therapy, merging her work with her passion for painting, playing instruments, and singing.”

Deepika Radhakrishnan

Psychologist

Deepika (Dee) is a professional, development-driven Registered Psychologist with holistic approaches. Dee has over 16 years of professional involvement in the betterment of her clients across geographies. While her initial interests lied in the field of science and journalism, her passion towards the assessing humans mind, motivated to complete her Master’s in Psychology. Following her education, she trained to be a developmental child therapist and started a school in India for children with special needs. During this time, she had opportunities to serve children and families across geographies and cultures; before she permanently moved to Australia to continue her journey.

Deepika is quiet competent performing a comprehend assessment of intellectual skills and achievement using relevant tests. She has specialised interests in assessment and management advice for complex Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and related behavioural conditions. Her other proficiencies lie in the eclectic treatment of childhood anxiety and related disorders, as well as social-emotional regulation in children. Deepika holds various completion certifications such as SCERTS® (multidisciplinary framework addressing challenges faced by ASD children), HANDLE® (neurodevelopment approach to treating various disorders), certified RBT® (Registered Behaviour Technician), and Play Therapy (with emphasis on brain training, art and drama therapy). This varied training has helped Deepika look at any child’s presentation holistically and beyond the symptoms exhibited. Deepika is multilingual, fluent in 5 languages other than English ( Tamil , Hindi, Kannada)making her communicate effectively, be culturally sensitive and establish rapport very quickly with families. She has given multiple presentations at schools, pre-schools, and parent groups in areas of Early Intervention and Behaviour management.

Deepika  has presented papers at international conferences and conducted citywide research in India. She also is in the process of finetuning a screening tool for ‘Sensory processing and Social Skills’ as well as the creation of an ‘Expected Reality checklist’ for families.
