General Paediatrician

Dr Duraisamy is a highly experienced General Paediatrician who is dedicated to providing patient focussed, quality care to his patients. Dr Duraisamy began his undergraduate in India and graduated in 2002.

After completing his medical degree, Dr Duraisamy relocated to the UK where he completed his basic paediatric training at one of the United Kingdom’s leading hospitals, NHS Leeds Teaching Hospital. This is where he gained valuable experience in Neonatal Resuscitation, Clinical Procedures and the management of various Neonatal cases, congenital anomaly and sepsis; including cases in extreme preterm babies (> 28 weeks).

In 2006, Dr Duraisamy moved to Australia to complete his advanced training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead which included working in various other Hospitals of NSW, including Dubbo Base Hospital. Following this, he gained his Diploma in Child Health and Masters of Public Health and then completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr Duraisamy is currently appointed as a VMO – Paediatrician, at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, where his main duties are involved in the admission and management of acutely unwell children from the Emergency Department, Paediatric ward, Special Care Nursery, Labour and postnatal ward.

Dr Duraisamy is committed to the teaching and development of medical students, junior doctors and General Practitioners, allied health professionals and is currently a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney.

With a vision to provide a comprehensive & varied paediatric service under one roof to Macarthur, Dr Duraisamy has established Kids Health Space, a practice unique to the Campbelltown area which provides General Paediatric, Specialist Paediatric and Paediatric Allied Health Services in the one location.
